Matthew Robert Sauer

Rock Island, TN resident and Murfreesboro, TN native Matthew Robert Sauer, age 43, was born March 31, 1983 and died September 14, 2026 at his residence following a short illness.

An employee of Pro Pack and member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, he was the son of Priscilla and Jerry Patrick of Rock Island, TN and the late Richard J. Sauer.

In addition to his mother and step-father, Matthew is survived by sons, Richard Sauer and Jordan Sauer, both of McMinnville, TN and sisters, Kim (Paul Willis) Martin of McMinnville, TN, Libby (Terry) Rutledge, Mindy Patrick of Rock Island, TN, Heather (Kelly) Myers of Morrison, TN, Carrie (Anthony) Witcher of Rock Island, TN and Jerry (Candice) Patrick of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in McMinnville, TN with Father Bala officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at High’s. Per his wishes, Matthew will be cremated following the service.
