Maurice Joe Stillwell

McMinnville, TN resident and Cincinnati, OH native Maurice Joe Stillwell, age 96, was born September 12, 1929 and died November 5, 2025 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following and extended illness.

A retired electrician with TVA and a member of Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Harry and Bertha Rankin. He was married in 1952 to Helen Stillwell who preceded him in death on November 10, 2009. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Danny (Sharlene) Stillwell and siblings, Frances Cagle, Newell Stillwell, Harry Lee Rankin, James Charles Rankin and J.W. Rankin.

Mr. Stillwell is survived by grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Amanda and Amy; siblings, Rachel Rankin, Tommy Rankin and Loretta Myers all of Pikeville, TN and Wanda Miller of McMinnville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with Dustin Stoetzel officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at High’s.
