McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native Melba Jean McCord Hale, age 71, was born May 3, 1954 and died November 1, 2025 at the Webb House Retirement Center following a brief illness.
Melba was the daughter of the late Ralph Wesley McCord and Flossie Odell Parsley McCord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years Waymon H. Hale, her eldest son, Waymon Clinton Hale and sister Sandra Helen McCord Cobb.
Melba is survived by her son, Mark Hale, daughter-in-law Karissa Hale; grandchildren, Emilee Hale and Hence Hale; niece, Tana Primrose and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jewell and Matilda Hale, Glen and Pamela Hale and Melvin Hale.
Mel was a wife, a mom and a good friend who loved her husband, her sons, her life and the beauty of nature. She had a quiet sweetness and a beautiful smile that we will all miss. Autumn is here; the leaves are falling; roses are beginning to fade; she awaits the New Spring!
Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Gardens of Memory in Warren County, TN with Doug Reed and Doug Bost officiating. There will be no service or visitation held at High’s. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Kids of the Community.
