Patricia Ann Shelton

Murfreesboro, TN resident and Kalamazoo, MI native Patricia Ann Shelton, age 80, was born September 21, 1941 and died January 10, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a brief illness. A retired apartment manager, she was the daughter of the late Arlington and Mary Louise Hearld Guernsey. She was married to Robert Lee Shelton on May 25, 1961 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by children, Tony Toombs, Robbin Mackney, and Jason Shelton and sisters, Velma, Arlene, and Dawn. Mrs. Shelton is survived by five children and spouses, Dexter and Kathy Toombs of Manchester, TN, Bobby and Donna Shelton of Florida, Mark Shelton of McMinnville, TN, LaTricia Shelton of Oak Ridge, TN, and Tiffany and Richard Romans of Lascassas, TN; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Guernsey of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Paul Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Per Mrs. Shelton’s wishes, she will be cremated after the service.
