Patricia Lee Sims

McMinnville, TN resident and Huntsville, TN native Patricia Lee Sims, age 81, was born April 20, 1944 and died October 21, 2025 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.

A retired employee with the State of Tennessee and a member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Barnes Philips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by children, Frank Goodman, Danny Goodman and Jimmy Sims and brother, J.D. Philips.

She was married to Charles Thomas Sims of McMinnville, TN on August 18, 1985. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sims is survived by children, Debbie Walker of McMinnville, TN, Phillip Reed of Texas and Wade Sims and Vickie Sims, both of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Jay George, Christopher George, Sheyenne Goodman, Kayla (Michael) Mosley and several others; great-grandchildren, Brookelyn George, Dalton George, Lakelyn George, Braelyn George and several others; sisters, Betty (Bob) McCormick of Murfreesboro, TN and Pam Brewer of Mississippi; brothers, Ron Brewer of Florida and Joe Brewer of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Johnny Newby officiating. No service or visitation will be held at High’s and family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
