Paul Andrew King

Rock Island, TN resident and Coffee County, TN native Paul Andrew King, age 76, was born February 18, 1949 and died July 8, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville, TN following a brief illness.

A Vietnam veteran of the United States Army, employee of Powermatic for 33 years, Federal Mogul for 17 years and a member of Rock Island Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Virgil and Mary King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Shawn Keith King; brothers, Edd (Lorean) King, Chris King and Kenneth (Joyce) King; sister, Freda Lois Darden and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wiley and Olela Bates Widner.

He was married to Sandra King of Rock Island, TN on November 22, 1969. In addition to his wife, he was survived by son, Paul Lynn King of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Andrew King (Beth Morton), Anthony King, Adam King (Chandra Ward) and Jeffery (Kristina) McGowen; great-grandchildren, Carter Shawn King, Kellan King, Kasen Kelley, Karmen Harden, Addy King, Lyberty King, Avery King, Weston Morton, Ellorie Fann and Henley Fann; brothers, George Willard (Donna) King of McMinnville, TN and Johnny (Janet) King of Smithville, TN; sister, Linda Richardson of Rock Island, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2025 in High’s Chapel with George King and Bubba Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.

Military grave rites will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
