Paul Starkey

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Paul Starkey, age 85, was born April 19, 1938 and died September 9, 2023 at NHC of McMinnville following an extended illness.           

A retired agent with Allstate Insurance and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, he was the son of the late James I. and Viola E. Stewart Starkey. He was married to Shirley Starkey on August 25, 1957 who preceded him in death on September 5, 2022.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Starkey, Robert Starkey and Jimmy Starkey and sister, Betty Sue Starkey. 

Mr. Starkey is survived by four children and spouses, Paul and Debbie Starkey, Jr., Teresa and Mark Sullivan, Mike and Hilda Starkey and Melissa and Daniel Campbell, all of McMinnville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Rick Lyles officiating. Burial will follow at Faulkner Cemetery at Pike Hill in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
