Phyllis Ann Gilley

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Phyllis Ann Gilley, age 71, was born August 16, 1952 and died January 11, 2024 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN following a short illness. A long-time security guard, she was the daughter of the late James “J.T.” Henderson and late Eva Lois Cantrell. Phyllis graduated from McMinnville City High School, was a member of Bluff Springs Church of Christ for many years and had recently attended Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to Randal “Tiny” Gilley who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Japeth Gilley and brother, Hal Henderson. Mrs. Gilley is survived by daughter, Donna (Charley) Turner of McMinnville; two sons, Randy Gilley and Jason Gilley, both of McMinnville; sister, Betty (Kent) Perry of McMinnville; two grandsons, Micah Welch and Keaton Welch; granddaughter, Tasia Petty; two great-grandsons, Jay Gilley and Walker Welch; special sister-in-law, Beverly Gilley; numerous nieces and nephews and special dogs, Oscar and Bella. Per Mrs. Gilley’s wishes she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
