Rock Island resident and McMinnville native Rebecca Jane Bouldin, age 68, was born October 21, 1957 and passed away April 25, 2026 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength, grace and unwavering love for her family were evident in every chapter of her life.
She was the daughter of the late Howard Allen and Wanda Jane Mason Gilley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Renier Gilley and David Allen Gilley and son-in-law, Bo Turner.
Ms. Bouldin is survived by her children, Kelly Nicole (Matthew) Sheppard, Tessa Lee Turner and Jase Caleb (LeAnne) Bouldin, all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Brendon & Lane Sheppard, Trace & Reese Bouldin and Maelee Turner; brother, Tommy (Kathy) Gilley of Canada; niece Lisa (Scott) Winkler and nephew, Michael (Mary) Gilley.
Best known as “Ma”, she was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend. She was a woman of many talents and passions. As a skilled hairstylist, she brought confidence and joy to those she served, forming lasting connections along the way. At home, her creativity shined through her love of sewing and crafting, where she found happiness in making beautiful meaningful pieces for those she loved.
True to being an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan, Jane was always willing to lend a helping hand and give her time to support others in her community. Her generous spirit extended far beyond her family. Jane dedicated countless hours volunteering at the Midway Fair Booth and Meals on Wheels. Her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all, she treasured any time spent with her family. Christmas was especially dear to her heart. She delighted in planning her yearly Gatlinburg Christmas trips that were filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. She loved every minute of watching her grandchildren in all their many hobbies and events.
She will be remembered for her compassion, her creativity, and the deep love she had for her children and grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the lives she touched.
