Robert Lindsey Richey

Robert "Bob" L. Richey, age 82, a McMinnville, TN resident, was born October 27, 1939 in Nashville, TN, and died May 19, 2022 peacefully at his home after an extended illness. Bob was the son of James E. and Edna Jewell Richey. After graduating from Isaac Litton High School in 1957, Bob enlisted in the Tennessee National Guard in 1962 and served until 1964. He went on to earn degrees from Southern Academy of Clinical Technology in 1965, Cleveland State Community College in 1969, and Duke University School of Anesthesia in 1974. He enjoyed working as an anesthetist in Hopkinsville, Kentucky and McMinnville, Tennessee. He was always interested in cars, flying, and sports, but LOVED Tennessee football and Duke basketball, as well as talking, joking, and laughing with friends and family. Bob is survived by three children: Christopher Richey of Sacramento, CA, Matthew (Jennifer) Richey of McMinnville, TN, and Lindsey (Kyle) Davidson of Huntsville, AL; and granddaughters: Madison, Piper, and Audrey. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Brown (Kent Krohlow) of Edwards, CO. The service will take place Tuesday, May 24th, at 5:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home. Justin King will officiate. Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
