Warren County native and resident Roy Dybdal, age 93, was born February 4, 1933 and died June 11, 2026 at his residence following a short illness.
A United States Army veteran of Korea, retired construction worker and a member of the McMinnville Church of God, he was the son of the late Thomas and Thelma Irene Hillis Dybdal, Jr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by first wife, Edith Dybdal and second wife, Sue Scott Dybdal; son, Bruce Dybdal and brother, Earl Dybdal.
Mr. Dybdal is survived by daughters, Virginia Morgan of South Carolina and Debra (Wade) Parker of Texas; grandchildren, Angelia Morgan, Aaron Morgan, Joshua Parker, Bryan Parker, Zachary Parker, Kendra Dybdal (Matt) McCain and three additional grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Marissa (Coby) Mason, Bethany George and Hunter Fults, along with thirteen additional great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, Mia Eldridge, Haisley George, Macayleigh Mason, Jasper George and Maddox Mason; sister, Paulette Ponce of McMinnville, TN; brother, Willy Roy Green of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Tommy Burke and Jeff Page officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
Full military honors will be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
