Royce Dean Thompson

McMinnville, TN resident and Elwood, Indiana native Royce Dean Thompson, age 70, was born March 3, 1951 and went to be with Jesus on August 19, 2021 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville, TN following a brief illness. A retired groundskeeper at Forest Nursery and a member of Freewill Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Darrell and Delores Hutton Thompson. Mr. Thompson is survived by three sisters, Marla Moore of Phoenix, Arizona, Cheryl Speegle of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Twila Thompson of New York City, New York; nephew, Jason Speegle of St. Joseph, Missouri; special cousins, Scott and Lynda Hardee of Bedford, Iowa; and numerous cousins also survive. No services or visitation will be held at High’s. A private graveside burial will be held at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Regarding heaven, In the words of his heart, “meet me there”.
