Sally Evelyn Argo

McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Sally Evelyn Argo, age 87, was born October 24, 1934 and died September 11, 2022 following an extended illness. A retired beautician of 45 years from Evelyn’s Beauty Shop, member of First Baptist Church and longtime member of the First Baptist Church Choir, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Edwin and Venie Sparkman Delon. She was married to Thomas Argo on September 8, 1951 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Glenn Argo Rogers; son-in-law, John Kenneth Sherrill and brothers, Howard and Carl Delon. Mrs. Argo is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Tommye Sherrill of Beersheba Springs, TN, Marsha and Ricky Rogers of Morrison, TN and Amye and Danny Langford of McMinnville, TN; six grandchildren and spouses, Angie and John Duke, Marney Sherrill, John-Thomas Argo Sherrill and Katy, Sally Rogers and Jacob Canull, Daniel Cole Argo Langford and Andrew Argo Langford; four great-grandchildren, Scottie Allen Duke, Chelsie Marie Duke, Calijah Langford, Maggie Langford and their mother, Madesta and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Bo Hendrix officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High’s.
