Sandra "Sandy" Rigsby

Rock Island, TN resident and Spencer, TN native Sandra “Sandy” Rigsby, age 69, was born June 14, 1957 and died September 21, 2026 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.

A former insurance agent and manager with Farm Bureau and a member of Mt. Elim Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late William Ealon and Edith Eulala McCoy Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Mark Edwin Rigsby.

Mrs. Rigsby was married to Dwight Rigsby of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Matthew (Stacey) Rigsby of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Macey Rigsby and Luke Rigsby; brother, Mike (Lola) Martin of Sparta, TN; aunt, Vivian McCoy (Howard) White of Nashville, TN; nephew, Wesley (Regina) Martin of Sparta, TN; great-niece, Renley Martin; niece, L A Martin of Knoxville, TN; great-niece, Hope Martin of Knoxville, TN and other family members.

Mrs. Rigsby enjoyed being a Nana.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Willard Ralph, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
