Sara Frances Moore Evans

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Sara Frances Moore Evans, age 89, was born April 30, 1932 and died August 10, 2021 at Viviant Healthcare of Murfreesboro following an extended illness. Owner of Colonial Transportation and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late H.E. “Jack” and Lila Mai Greer Moore. She was married to Jacob Evans on January 22, 1949 who preceded her in death on August 22, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Colleen Goldston. Mrs. Evans is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Joy Evans of McMinnville, TN; three grandchildren and spouses, Kristie and John Eads of Lexington, KY, Julie and John LaForte of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and Jenifer and Ryan Walker of McMinnville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Eads and Hallie LaForte; and brother, Thomas E. Moore of Summerville, SC also survive. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with Jackie Matheny officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at High’s. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
