Sarah Frances West

Sarah Frances Jones West, age 88, a McMinnville, TN resident and Davidson County (Nashville) native was born January 4, 1938 and died September 30, 2026 at The Webb House in McMinnville following an extended illness.

A retired legal secretary, court reporter for the state of Tennessee and a member of Central Church of Christ, she is the daughter of John Austin and Crystal Louise Smith Jones. She was married on April 27, 1957 to Wilburn West who preceded her in death on August 13, 2019. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sister, Babara Jones Turner; brother, Fred Jones and grandson, Jordan Gribble.

Mrs. West was survived by her daughters, Princess Gribble of McMinnville, TN, Crystal West of Cleveland, TN and Alecia West of McMinnville, TN; brothers, James Jones (Judy Coppinger) of McMinnville, TN and Carl (Susie) Jones of Dothan, AL; brother-in-law, Clyde West of McMinnville, TN: sisters-in-law, Evon (Jim) Davis and Hazel West both of McMinnville, TN; grandchild, Aaron Gribble; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Mt. View Cemetery with Carl Jones officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at High's.
