Sherry Lynn Rankhorn

Smithville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Sherry Lynn Grissom Rankhorn, age 62, was born January 19, 1963 and died July 22, 2025 at her residence following a brief illness.

The owner of Country Corner Restaurant, she was the daughter of the late John Austin and Judith Jeanette Hayes Grissom. She was married to Shadie Rankhorn on April 1, 2001 who preceded her in death in 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Tacy Clouse Hendrixson.

Mrs. Rankhorn is survived by daughter, Kira Clouse (Jim Hendrix) of McMinnville, TN; son-in-law, Nelson Hendrixson of McMinnville, TN; four grandchildren, Caitlin Clouse, Megan (Rick) Randall, Krissy Hendrixson and Emily Hendrixson; two adopted-grandsons, Wesley and Tyler England; five great-grandchildren, Kolton England, Elijah Randall, Neveah Randall, Asher Herron and Jordan Hendrixson; brother, John A. Grissom of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and many friends.

Mrs. Rankhorn will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
