Stella Marie Landtroop Barnes

Manchester, TN resident and Loretto, TN native Stella Marie Landtroop Barnes, age 91, was born April 11, 1934, and died January 26, 2026, at Manchester Center for Rehabilitation and Healing following an extended illness. 

A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Coleman Christopher and Clara Mary York Landtroop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thurman Barnes; brothers, James and Junior Landtroop and sister, Annie Bell Holland. 

Mrs. Barnes is survived by her sons, Wayne (LaDonna) Barnes of Murfreesboro, TN and Stephen Barnes of Manchester, TN; daughter, Wanda Marie Barnes of Manchester, TN; grandsons, Asher (David) Caldwell and Sean (Kara) Barnes; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Camden Barnes; sister, Louise Harper of the Campaign Community; brother, Doris (Belinda) Landtroop of Lewisburg, TN and several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service and interment will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Morrison Cemetery with Dustin Stoetzel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at High's.
