Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Terry Renah Hodges, age 65, was born November 1, 1958 and died August 27, 2024 at his residence.
A United States Army veteran, Second Lieutenant with the TN Army National Guard, former supervisor of Magnetek and a self-employed painter, he was the son of the late Elmer Walter Hodges and Bertha Lee Fults Hodges Crim. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tony Hodges and Marvin Hodges; sister, Mary Frances Roberts; nephews, Brian Martin and Tommy Hodges and great-niece, Brittany Taylor.
Mr. Hodges was married April 6, 2010 to Starla Hash Hodges of Rock Island who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by loving step-daughters, Shalyn Eaton, Shara (Ryan) Cowan and Sharlee (Josh) Hobbs; son, Jeremiah Hodges; daughter, Spencer Hodges; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Barbara Knight; brother-in-law, Brad (Paivi) Kaplan; sister-in-law, Pam Hodges and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Terry was a dog loving songwriter and loved playing his guitar and music. He called himself a Hillbilly Buddhist who loved his family and friends.
Per his wishes, Mr. Hodges was cremated. Graveside service and inurnment will held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
