Terry Lynn Coppinger

Sparta, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Terry Lynn Coppinger, age 77, was born November 16, 1946 and died December 4, 2023 at St. Thomas Highland Hospital in Sparta, TN following an extended illness. 

A retired employee of 33 years from Carrier Corporation, he was the son of the late Marvin and Charlene Panter Coppinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Marva and Dorris Hughes and grandson, Griffin Coppinger.

Mr. Coppinger is survived by four children, Nickey Coppinger, Shannon (Steve) Terry and Scottie "Bubba" Coppinger, all of McMinnville, TN and Teri Beth (Brian) Ballew of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Karagan Coppinger-Markey, Ayden Ballew, Brylee Ballew, Lakelyn Coppinger, Luke Coppinger, Kayden Coppinger, Zackary Flanagan and Michael Flanagan; sister, Kay Grider of McMinnville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Allen Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
