Thomas Gregory Lance

McMinnville resident and Altamont, TN native Thomas Gregory Lance, age 46, was born March 16, 1977 and died February 10, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness. “The Man With The Plan” at Extended Family Care, LLC in Manchester, TN and a member of East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Roy Houston and Varina Lee Passons Lance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Vince Lance; brother-in-law, James Kirby and niece, Ashlyn Barnes. He was married to Renee Lance of McMinnville on January 2, 2004. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lance is survived by children, Shane (Alexis) Whitman and Brandon (Bobbie Jo) Whitman, both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Eden Whitman and Braxton, Lilly and Karson Whitman; siblings, Ricky Lynn Newby, Chris (Pam) Lance, Clayton Lance, Lee Ann Small, Gina Lance and Troy Lance; brother-in-law, Nathan (Jennifer) Davis of Cookeville, TN; sister-in-law, Michelle Kirby of McMinnville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Susan Davis of Rock Island, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Kevin Key officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
