Virginia Vanatta

A Warren County native and resident Ruth Vanatta died April 8 at her home following an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Greene and Ellan Cantrell Greene Gibbs; her sons, Garey Vanatta and Randall Vanatta; grandchildren, Jacob Vanatta and Nicole Vanatta and brothers, Lee Greene and James Lloyd Greene. She is survived by son, Dwayne Vanatta of Texas; grandson, Jared Vanatta; grand and great-granddaughters, Beth Martenson and Lily-Ann; granddaughter, Reagan Miller; daughters-in-law, Phyllis Vanatta and Deborah of Texas; sister-in-law, Rosemary Greene; nieces, nephews and a host friends and people young and not so young who called her Nana. She loved you all. Per Nana’s instructions she was cremated with no service to be held. High’s Funeral Home & High’s Cremations, Inc. was in charge of arrangements. A Thank You to those who helped care and did for her thru her illness and Avalon Hospice who took her through her final days. She will be so greatly missed by us her family and her friends.
