Wanda Gail Powell

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Wanda Gail Powell, age 70, was born January 15, 1952 and died August 9, 2022 at Generations of Spencer in Van Buren County, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Albert Clinton and Winona M. Boyd Powers, Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Richard Allen Killian and aunts and uncles, Bonita and Howard Markum, Bill and Dorothy Miller, Wilma Spain, Dwayne and Josie Boyd, Charles and Thelma Boyd and Gordon Mason. Ms. Powell is survived by aunts, Carolyn (Jim) Powers of Rock Island, TN, Susie (Charles) Sparkman and Bobbie Jo Mason, both of McMinnville, TN and Connie (Daries) Powers of Rock Island, TN and cousins, Linda Hillis and family of Rock Island, TN, Gretchen Rhea and family of McMinnville, TN and Bobby Spain and family of Johnson City, TN. Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Hugh Hillis officiating. No visitation or service will be held at High’s. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
