Wayne Leroy Markum

McMinnville, TN resident and Sequatchie County, TN native Wayne Leroy Markum, age 77, was born October 17, 1945 and died January 12, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.           

A Vietnam veteran of the United States Army, owner of Guaranteed Gutter and Siding and member of Warren Masonic Lodge #125 F and A.M. where he was a Master Mason, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Edna Snipes Markum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Margaret Lesley Markum and two brothers, Robert and Clifford Markum.

Mr. Markum is survived by son, Jonathan Markum of McMinnville, TN; two brothers, Donnie Markum of Spencer, TN and Jim Markum of Haleyville, AL and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until and 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at High’s. Mr. Markum will be cremated following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner's Hospital.
