William Andrew DeMonbreun, II

Mr. William Andrew DeMonbreun, II of McMinnville died June 21, 2021. He was born on September 2, 1930 in Nashville to the late Dr. William A. DeMonbreun and Mrs. Ethetta Russell DeMonbreun. He was also preceded in death by his son, William Andrew DeMonbreun, III (Andy); sister, Anne Charlton; and brother, Russel C. DeMonbreun. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Myrtice Cooper DeMonbreun; daughter, Dorothy DeMonbreun Dunn (Daryl); grandsons Daryl Raymond Dunn, Jr., and Andrew Cooper Dunn; granddaughter, Anna DeMonbreun Frye (Matt); and great-granddaughters, Reagan Frye and Reese Frye. Mr. DeMonbreun graduated from Duncan College Preparatory School for Boys, attended Vanderbilt University, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Ag. Engineering. He served 3 years in the Army in Korea. He was an Area Engineer with Soil Conservation Service until his retirement to full-time farming. He was chairman of Soil Conservation District for many years, member of Farm Bureau Board of Directors, and an active member of Westwood Church of Christ and Rockliff Church of Christ. Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Dave Dockins and Daryl Dunn officiating. Mr. DeMonbreun will be laid to rest with full military honors. Family and friends are to meet at cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those that desire may donate to the Nashville Ronald McDonald House at 2144 Fairfax Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
