McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wilma Faye Webster Gunter, age 84, was born May 7, 1941 and died May 28, 2025 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired employee of Genesco and a member of Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ, Mrs. Gunter was the daughter of the late Lester Lee Samuel and Elsie Rowan Dickson Webster. She was married to Floyd "Tommy" Gunter on August 24, 1958 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Daisy Elizabeth York, Ada Mary Frances Webster and Charlotte Ann Clark and brothers, Carl Webster, Charlie Webster and Franklin Webster.
Mrs. Gunter is survived by son, Timothy Terry (Karen) Gunter of Apopka, FL; grandchildren, Timothy Jerome "T.J." (Michelle) Gunter of McMinnville and Christina Faye (Matthew) Byrd, Timothy Kaleb Gunter and Bethany Hope Gunter, all of Apopka, FL; very special god-grandson, Kayden Ray King; great-grandchildren, Destiny Faith Gunter, Ethan Gage Gunter, Eliza Elsie Faye Valazquez, Wiley Gunter Underwood and Alice Evangeline Underwood; great-great-grandchildren, Bennett Lee Terry Valazquez, Carter Mason Kirby and Izabell Grace Gunter; brothers, Paul Edward (Ann) Webster of McMinnville, William Floyd Webster, of AL, Gary Wayne (Lucy) Webster of McMinnville and Donald Ray (Peggy) Webster of the Viola Community; special sister, Gwen Krofssik and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Susan Harlow and staff for their medical care, Fannie B's Boarding Home staff for all their care and love, Willow Branch nurses and Gentiva Hospice for being there during the last days for Faye and her family.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Jackie Matheny and Jeff McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemtery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
