Woody Gwyn Hillis

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, Woody Gwyn Hillis, age 78, was born February 4, 1944 and died October 2, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired nurseryman and a member of Hebron Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Arlin and Beatrice Wanamaker Hillis. He was married to Sharon Milstead Hillis of McMinnville, TN on September 4, 1965. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hillis is survived by two sons, Darren (Becky) Hillis and Trent Hillis both of McMinnville, TN; daughter, Jamie Parsley of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Braxton Hillis, Chloe (Taylor) Madewell, Ethan Hillis and Gavin Parsley and brothers, Conny Joe (Linda) Hillis of McMinnville, TN and Jerry Hillis of Pelham, AL. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6,2022 in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
